LETTER FROM HAPPY ENGLISH SCHOOL　February 11th,2019

Hello. How is everything?　How is your English study coming along?　Most of the students have taken or are going to take a Jr Step test, a Step test or a TOEIC test this school year ending in March. I hope you are successful in the tests, but as often as not you may get an undesired result. You must be really disappointed and may be discouraged from studying. You might even think it is impossible to make progress in English study any more.

However, the efforts you make will surely pay off as long as you continue to work hard. Success may sometimes come to you taking different forms from what you have expected, and you will appreciate your hard work sooner or later. As you know the saying, ‘Benefits in disguise’. It is not always bad that you fail. You can learn a lot from that. You should try and learn from your mistakes. This is the way how a language is acquired. The important thing is ‘Trial and error’, through which you can learn English like a little kid acquiring their native language. We cannot avoid mistakes or failure when it comes to language learning.

Noriko passed the tour guide test. She passed the Step 1 grade test and in a few years she achieved such a feat. She set the goal and focused on it. I myself also have to follow her example. We need to listen to her success story and need to be inspired a lot by her. I want to organize a party to celebrate her achievement. Why don’t you join me and listen to what she has to say?

英語の調子はどうですか？　英語のトレーナーとして、調子の良い時には、更に頑張れるように、ステップアップを進め、また逆に調子の悪い時には何が悪いか見直し、補強し、さらに力をつけられるように、楽しく取り組めるように工夫します。生徒さんが、成果を上げてくれると自分のことのようにうれしいです。まさにやりがいがあります。なかなか思うように成果が上がらなくとも続けてするべきことに地道に取り組んでください。それが基礎体力になり、さらなる英語力アップに必ず結びつきます。
