LETTER FROM HAPPY ENGLISH SCHOOL June 15th,2021

Hello. How are you doing under the state of emergency? Now it seems that students except for college students in Osaka are able to go to school to study, but not to do club activities or participate in school events. Indeed, it is a pity that students cannot fully enjoy their school life. I hope after the state of emergency is lifted, there will be fewer restrictions on students’ activities at school and outside school. However, the pandemic will not be completely contained anytime soon, we need to be alert at all times to the dangers of another surge of the COVID-19 with new variants emerging from nowhere.

It is a good season before the advent of the summer heat as we sometimes have hot days but we still have rather comfortable cool mornings and evenings. I especially appreciate the beauty of hydrangeas in this season. It is mysterious enough that the flowers change their colors as they bloom. I see green ones, blue ones, purple ones, white ones and even pink ones. There are fabulous hydrangeas in full bloom at Ms. Tajima’s house across form Happy English School. Many people who pass by are impressed by how colorful and how dense the clusters are.

We should find day-to-day pleasures in our lives and feel grateful for them.

コロナ緊急事態の下でも、変わりなく元気に過ごし英語の勉強をしていることでしょう。学校でいろいろな活動が制限されていることは本当に残念です。大学生はonline授業ばかりのようで、学生生活を満喫することではないようです。

その中でも、日々の生活に喜びを見つけ、感謝することで充実が得られると思います。

Happy English Schoolの向かいでは、アジサイが見事な素晴らしい花を咲かせています。　様々な色でぎっしりと咲き誇っている様子に、前を通る人は、感嘆の声を上げています。グリーンあり、ブルーあり、紫あり、白あり、ピンクあり。また色が変化していくのが、美しくもあり、神秘的でもあります。

喜びはいろいろなところで見つけられます。それに感謝し、ほほ笑み過ごしましょう。そして英語の学習をし、学ぶ喜び、わからなかったことがわかる喜びもかみしめてください。
